LONG BEACH, Calif. - Coast Guard members FN Charles Archie and BM2 Rex Balingit disembark the sailboat "Newport" after conducting a boarding in the waters off Newport, Calif., April 30. Members from Station Los Angeles/Long Beach spent the day on these waters with agents from the Los Angeles Drug Enforcement Administration today to conduct safety checks on the returning participants of the Newport to Ensenada Race as they returned from Ensenada. Since the sailors did not have to stop at a boarder checkpoint upon their return, the Coast Guard and DEA were out in full force to ensure safety. Coast Guard photo by PA2 Allyson E. T. Conroy.
