LOS ANGELES - The Coast Guard and Navy continue their search for two missing kayakers. Rescuers have so far completed search patterns covering over 1000 square nautical miles of ocean. After the initial report, the Coast Guard began its search starting from the kayakers' last known position in area "B" of the graphic covering approximately 300 square nautical miles. Today's search area has been expanded to approximately 2000 square nautical miles (area "A"). |
