| Coast Guard responding to overturned sailing vessel |

OXNARD, Calif.- The U.S. Coast Guard is responding to a sailboat that is overturned near Mandalay Beach in Oxnard, Calif. today. The vessel, approximately 20 feet in length, is hard aground. A rescue boat from To further assess the situation, the Coast Guard launched an HH-65 “Dolphin” Helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles. The current weather on scene is 35-knot winds with combined seas of 8-feet. There is a gale warning forecasted in the area for the remainder of the evening. The case is ongoing. |
