Air Station Los Angeles conducts medevac of 8-month-old boy

LOS ANGELES - Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles conducted a medevac late Sunday night of an 8-month-old boy suffering from pneumonia on Catalina Island.

Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received notification of the need for a medevac from the Los Angeles County Fire Department at 11:03 p.m. Sunday.

Air Station Los Angeles dispatched an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter which delivered the boy safely from Catalina Island to Long Beach Airport where he was then transferred to Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
