OXNARD, Calif. — A 47-foot motor life boat from Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor tows a 32-foot power boat into Channel Islands Harbor on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. The distress call came into the Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles - Long Beach Command Center just after 9:00 a.m over VHF radio on channel 16. The vessel reported they were taking on water from an unknown source with two people on board one mile southwest of the entrance to Channel Islands Harbor. (U.S. Coast Guard photo) |
