CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR, Calif. — The Coast Guard responded to a distress call July 11 from a 30-foot vessel that was taking on water approximately eight miles southwest of the Channel Islands.

A 47-foor motor lifeboat was dispatched from Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor and is towing the vessel back to Channel Islands Harbor.
