Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles conducts medevac off Catalina Island
CATALINA ISLAND, Calif. — Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles conducted a medevac of an adult male suffering from head trauma on Catalina Island, Sunday, July 31, 2009.

Coast Guard Sector Los AngelesLong Beach received notification of the need for a medevac from Baywatch Isthmus who first responded to the trauma at 9:00 p.m., Friday.

Air Station Los Angeles dispatched an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter which delivered the man from Catalina Island to St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach, Calif. where the adult male was reported to be unconscious.
