Coast Guard, ranger assists man with broken wrist

The Coast Guard and a National Park Service Ranger assisted a 64-year-old male who suffered a broken wrist on the rocks at Frenchy’s Cove on Anacapa Island at approximately 3:40 p.m. Saturday.

A Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor 25-foot response boat crew launched at approximately 4:00 p.m. to assist the injured man.

The Coast Guard crew recovered the injured man and safely tranported him to Station Channel Islands Harbor where emergency medical personnel were standing by.

This is a great example of how the Coast Guard works with other agencies to complete a rescue mission.
