Coast Guard Media Port Launched

News site gets new look

SAN PEDRO, Calif. – The Coast Guard’s news and information site, http://www.uscglosangeles.com was upgraded Feb. 4 to provide easier access to news items about the Coast Guard in the Los Angeles - Long Beach area.

The main page is now arranged in a tabbed format.
- The first two tabs showcase either the latest Coast Guard photos or recent videos.
- Both tabs also contain a list of recent media releases that are further highlighted on the third tab.
- The new site also makes it easier to navigate to the ten other Coast Guard news sites around the nation using the map on the fourth tab.

Older releases can still be found under the “Archived Releases” choice in the “News and Information” menu. Other site menus, navigation and functions remain the same. Distribution lists for media releases did not change.
