Video Update: Coast Guard to conduct medevac

LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard conducted a medevac early Thursday of a 44-year-old man who was experiencing strong stomach pains aboard motor vessel Opal about 50 to 70 miles west of Los Angeles.

Two MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles hoisted the patient from the vessel about 9:30 a.m. and transported him to Torrance Memorial Hospital.
