Coast Guard searches for male near Catalina Island

CATALINA ISLAND, Calif. - The Coast Guard is searching for a male in his thirties near Catalina Island, Sunday, who went missing at approximately 10:45 a.m.

A Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew, the Coast Guard Cutter Edisto crew, the Coast Guard Cutter Halibut crew and Baywatch Isthmus are searching for Frank Cipriano, who was aboard the vessel Indecent Proposal. 

He is reported to be approximately 160 pounds, wearing a polo T-shirt and black board-shorts. 

The Indecent Proposal is anchored in Cherry Cove, approximately one mile off Eagle Reef, Catalina Island.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Cipriano, they are urged to contact 911 or the nearest Coast Guard station immediately, and mariners are asked to keep a sharp lookout for anyone in distress.
